5,000!

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Since its creation Wish-Cake has baked over 5,000 cupcakes!  Whew!  What a massive accomplishment!

To give our readers an idea of what 5,000 cupcakes looks like we had fun learning the following facts -

If 5,000 cupcakes were stacked one on top of the other they would equal the height of Philadelphia’s City Hall (including William Penn) more than twice! Check out our graphic below!

5,000 cupcakes would stretch for 2 tenths of a mile if laid end to end.  That’s a good distance!

If each cupcake weighs approximately 2 ounces then 5,000 cupcakes would weigh approximately 625 pounds!

Amazing!  Congratulations on 5,000 Wish-Cake!

Maybe Next Year!

Today we learned that Wish-Cake didn’t win Nickelodeon’s Parents Pick for best birthday cake.  Congratulations to the bakery that won (Amanda’s Cakery)!  And congratulations to all the 2009 winners!  At Wish-Cake we feel it was an honor to be nominated!  Maybe next year, folks!  Again, thank you for your votes!

Eat Cake!

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Although this past weekend in sports did not go as well as hoped for the Philadelphia area, Wish-Cake knows that there were MANY other wonderful & happy activities in the area.  I was lucky enough to attend a very beautiful and fun wedding on Saturday.  Congratulations, D & J!!

Wish-Cake is still happy the baseball season is underway and maybe next year, Villanova!  Getting to the top 4 is success itself!

We say focus on the positive, Philadelphia, or bury your sorrows and eat cake!  (responsibly of course!!)

These are some photos from one of today’s deliveries.  The cupcakes were “Build-Your-Own” (vanilla cake with crushed Oreo cookies, chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles).  We hope the recipient feels better soon!
