What Day is it Today?

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Here are some photos of our most recent deliveries in the Philadelphia region.  It’s been a busy week!  What day is it today?

These are Banana cupcakes delivered for a very special Wish-Cake friend.

An example of our Lemon cupcake.  This one was delivered to the same special person!  Happy Birthday, Dee!
(As you can see we’re experimenting with a slice of real lemon on the top of our cupcakes vs. our candy lemon slice.  (shown below)  We like the naturalness of the real lemon slice!)

These are our fun Worm-n-Dirt cupcakes.  They were delivered to celebrate the 24th birthday of another special person!  Enjoy!

Please visit our menu to find more delicious cupcakes.  We’d love to bake and deliver for you!  :)

Chicago’s “More Cupcakes”

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

While in Chicago we visited More Cupcakes.  I had a lemon meringue cupcake, a second person had the carrot ginger and the third person had a salted caramel.  I heard nothing but wonderful comments about them.  My lemon was awesome!  Here’s a photo of it…

I appreciated their packaging.  The cupcakes looked as good when we got back to the hotel as they did when we bought them in the store.

Above is a photo of the Cloud Gate sculpture in Chicago’s Millenium Park and a reflection of myself taking a photo of it.  We enjoyed our trip!

Yesterday’s Delivery

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Yesterday I had the privilege to deliver 4 dozen cupcakes to an office in Philadelphia.  They were for the 29th birthday of a very hard working man and his staff!  His mother responded with feedback about the cupcakes, “By far, the biggest hit was cookie dough.  Standard Chocolate was also a big winner.”  Apparently everyone in his office sang happy birthday and embarrassed him.  (Cupcakes bring only the good kind of embarrassment!)  Enjoy these photos!  They ordered chocolate chip cookie dough (top), banana cupcakes with orange cream cheese frosting (below), lemon cupcakes with yellow lemon buttercream frosting (below middle) and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting (bottom middle).

Mom\'s Birthday/Retirement Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Buttercream Frosting

Today is a mixed day for my mom.  She’s both turning another year older as well as retiring.  Although she’s been looking forward to retirement for quite some time (she resigned a year ago today!) she is sort of sad.  She said it feels as if today is similar to a viewing after a loved one passes away.  One of the definitions for retirement is, afterall, the ”removal or withdrawal from service, office, or business.”  http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/retirement  As mom moves into this new stage in her life I wish her all the best.  I know she’ll make the most of it.  Today is not your viewing, mom.  You are very much alive and have all the love and support in the world!  Enjoy this new chapter!

Above are photos of lemon cupcakes with lemon buttercream frosting.  They’ll be joining mom at her retirement Open House today!
